Ever wanted to step the other side of the tables and stands? My hope is to give you a better idea as to what the fool in front of you is attempting to do and maybe give enough information to allow you to give it a go yourself. As a small disclaimer to the more musically educated, I will simplify and generalise things at times for the benefit of the reader, and writer!
Let’s start with some basics.
The roots of handbell tune ringing are inextricably entwined with those of Church tower ‘change’ ringing, which is itself often practiced on handbells! However, each has evolved through the years and continue to develop along different lines.
