HRGB Insurance
HRGB INSURANCE
HRGB is a member of Making Music, (the National Federation of Music Societies) and through them has the following insurance cover in relation to HRGB activities and events:
- Public Liability Insurance at HRGB events*
- Charity Trustee Liability
- Employers’ Liability Insurance
- Note: HRGB does not actually have any employees, but this cover extends to authorised volunteers as well as employees. An authorised volunteer is a voluntary worker acting under the authority of HRGB and would include people making refreshments, putting out chairs, running a raffle, etc.
- Property damage
- Abandonment Insurance
- for full details see the pdf below.
Ringers and/or teams are advised to cover themselves for Public Liability for non-HRGB events* and other activities. If someone is injured or property is damaged at a non-HRGB event (eg at a performance, concert or practice) you are not covered by the HRGB insurance.
*An event is an ‘HRGB Event’ only if it has been approved in advance by either the Regional Committee in whose region the event is held, or by the National Executive Committee or the Directors of HRGB Promotions. It must be possible to show an audit trail of such approval, eg through NEC or Regional Committee meeting minutes or lising on the HRGB Events area of the website.
Any enquiries about HRGB Insurance cover should be made to the National Treasurer
